In December 2022, scientists at the National Ignition Facility at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory achieved fusion ignition for the first time in a laboratory setting — a stunning success more than 40 years in the making.
To honor and celebrate this milestone, on Sunday September 29 — from 2pm-4pm — City Center Bishop Ranch will host a Science Event honoring the staff from the lab on their groundbreaking achievement. The director of the lab and local officials will on hand to speak to the gathering, and guests will be able to enjoy science-focused events.
